Is a grown man really complaining about a panhandler throwing a small rock at him?

You are so freaking daft. That can't be an actual question.

There was a weird guy hanging around the trails above Parkdale boulevard last year where all the homeless people camp. He walked around carrying a cinder block all summer long. He always had multiple hoodies on and was kind of training like Ivan Drago style. He threatened people and dogs. I went down there looking for him and found him and took his brick away. I didn't hurt him and I knew he could just get another brick. But I kind of just wanted to make a point. The cops told my gf there was nothing they could do until he hurt someone. What are you supposed to do?

I worry that posts like this one perpetuate unhealthy masculine expectations. LouCypher should feel okay to complain about it.
My opinion is if he is bothered by such an incident, he should feel okay to talk about it free of judgement... I also think it's okay to warn the community about it due to a concern that nothing would be done about it by police. After all, there are people that distrust law enforcement or their effectiveness and they could have legitimate, experiential reasons for this.
I posted one other time in this thread and that was because it was unclear to me if vigilantism was Lou's motivation. That's where I think it's not okay... But I don't think that's the motivation, either.

I can understand that, I mean it could hurt him, that much should be obvious. What I think is absolutely ridiculous is him phoning the police because someone said "hello sunshine". That complete overreaction to what was a non event leads me to question the validity of the rest of his story actually.
I interact very closely with the homeless near daily at my job so maybe I have just become desensitized.

I don't want to have keep repeating myself. It is not correct to state that I called him in because he said hey sunshine. Please re read the above posts. I have explained myself enough it is your issue if you choose to believe otherwise.

I have a nagging suspicion that the reincarnated peter12 is not the original peter12

You don't see how you look like you are overreacting though? You immediately called the police for someone who said, "hello sunshine". As soon as the police hear that they are going to think that you are a nut case and won't take anything you say seriously. You obviously overreacting to this non event makes people question the validity of your initial story, including the size of the rock that was thrown. Initially I imagined it being a sizable stone, but now in the back of my mind I now think that you hyperbolized it from a small piece of gravel.
The fact is that maybe you should just pick up and carry on with your life and let the police, you know... Police actual crimes.

I'm not questioning the OP's masculinity. I'm questioning his ability to move on from this extremely minor incident.

Guess I'll have to be more aggressive myself next time someone tries something similar.
