I would hope they do Superman in the same fashion as Spiderman - as in I don't need to see a baby on a dying planet put into a spaceship, crashing into Rural USA, and discovering his powers as a child/teenager, then moving to metropolis and getting a job as a reporter.
I've seen that enough times, everyone knows the Superman story.
Give me a story where Superman already exists please.
I agree! Give me a fully formed Superman taking on Brainiac/Mongul in space. It would be something we haven't seen before and original.
That's probably one of the reasons the new Spiderman did so well He already had his powers and didn't have to spend a whole move discovering them, letting them focus on something else and make a good movie.

People, generally, seem pretty tired of full-blown origin movies. Aquaman's origin, as told through a few flashbacks, was all we needed. Captain Marvel was really pushing it in terms of how much origin her movie involved.
Shazam is the only recent origin movie that worked.

I think it depends how familiar we are with the story. Something like Eternals or Shang Chi I fully expect a full origin story because well I know next to nothing about it. The Batman I expect we won't see anything and will just dive into the story.

And make him Aquaman’s little buddy who is connected to him, his villains, his family in all ways possible. Hell even have Aquaman be responsible for some of his abilities.
But yeah, enough with origin stories but the Superman theme as an alien is a good one IMO.
