How much money would it cost to now replace flags and logos all over the city?
Considering how often the current flag is used, and the number of people who don't even know what it looks like, I suspect that number is pretty low.

I am far from a fan of cowboy hats, but our current flag is hands-down the best of any major city in Canada. Simple, iconic, representative enough that even if they've never seen it before, most Canadians could look at it and identify where it's from. Most flags are either full of symbology that's difficult to decipher, or need to explicitly state the name of the city on them. Take this new flag and ask people what city it represents, and I'd be surprised if anyone guessed Calgary.
I applied the recommendations of drawing it on a 1” x 1.5” square as per Roman Mars’ awesome city flag Ted talk.
5 red (because that’s just the colour I associate with Calgary) mountains representing the 5 treaty 7 nations, the foothills in green and the blue of the river(s):

I like that a lot. Simple yet easily representative and identifiable as Calgary. The colours seem to work well.
I find this one a tough one. The city shouldn't have to get involved, but blatant racist, anti human rights laws in our own country should be everyone's business. I wish the government had the cojones to start taking away money from Quebec until they did the right thing, but sadly Trudeau is a useless so here we are.
This flag went under many iterations to achieve a nearly perfect expression of modern diversity:
NSFW!
Just need to add 5 cowboy hats and we are all set!
Someone on Reddit made a green 'Etch-a-sketch' version of the Calgary skyline a while ago, and I responded by changing it to white and putting 'Frasier' underneath it since it looked so much like the show's title card.
Now it shall realize its true purpose... a flag that all of Calgary can be proud of.
A couple weeks ago, the Herald ran a story about the city flags of Alberta and interviewed Ted Kaye, who came up with the 5 basic principles for designing a great flag that Roman Mars quotes in his Ted Talk.
Calgary’s flag — a red-and-white design featuring a large stylized ‘C’ and a cowboy hat — has been the subject of periodic social media debate in recent years. The Calgary Herald even ran a redesign contest for the flag in 2015.
But Kaye said Calgary’s flag meets all the design principles for a good municipal flag, and stands as one of the best banners in Alberta.
“Some people are questioning whether the white hat still is relevant, but it’s a very striking design,” Kaye said.

I hate to distract from the flag discussion, which is surely more interesting, but city council has voted themselves payment for security systems for their homes (up to $8000), as well as monthly monitoring of $100.
I’m all for safety of our elected officials, but I’m not entirely sure what purpose a security system will serve to deal with protesters at their homes.
