BTW, Strome has 11 points in 29 games with NYR. Compared to 2 in 18 with the Oilers.

I know it's said every time someone reasonably decent is on waivers, but how funny would it be if the Flames picked up one of those Oilers and he worked here?

That Spooner contract is really bad, by the way. $4 million for both this year and next. For a budget team willing to give him a big role, it could make sense -- maybe Arizona?
