Default Brandon Bollig Retires

Former Flame, seemed like a good teammate.

Had a successful career, won a Cup, scored a couple key goals in the 2015 playoffs. All the best in retirement.

One of my least favourite Flames ever.

He was pretty great in his role in Chicago, then did basically nothing here.

I still remember him refusing to do anything about Keith chopping Gaudreau in the back with his stick blade turned over. He knew exactly what happened, and was shown motioning to Keith what he did with his blade, then did nothing.

Yeah, I didn't like the acquisition either. He was a dime-a-dozen kind of player and we gave up a draft pick for him. The AHL is littered with players like him.

I think he was overrated because he played on a strong Chicago team.

Never cared for Bollig as a player. Always felt he was wasting a roster spot that could have been put to better use whenever he was in the lineup, but he seems like a fun guy. Good luck in retirement Brandon!

^ It's a bit like the guy who didn't show up for work for two months that everyone forgot existed showing up one day and announcing that he's quitting.
