Great to get a win when you only have one guy who played a full 60.
Rittich should be first second and third star

Great game! Jets are an elite team, and the Flames proved tonight that they can hang with them. If not for all the penalty trouble in the 2nd, this game probably ends 6-1 or 6-2. Rittich and the PK were outstanding tonight.
Hopefully the Flames learned a lesson from that 2nd period. You can't ever take your foot off the gas against good teams.
1st in the Pacific at American Thanksgiving. Feels good, man!

Flames 6 Jets 3
You knew there would be a big pushback by a team as good as the Jets, especially when getting into penalty trouble, but they closed it out nicely. Rittich was a beast tonight, I don’t think his recent play is a fluke and I love his character. I took a peek at HF Oilers OOT thread and the ATL tonight is going to be amazing. Back to top of the division.

That being said, I like the bottom six scoring, and Rittich was terrific. Again.
Take the two points and focus on Vegas.

Score effected things. Flames had four unlucky penalties. It was sloppy and the Flames looked bad, but it is really hard to take much out of it other than the win. A big lead early in the game often makes games go wonky.

Derek Ryan 64% on the faceoffs. What a huge difference it makes having a great face off guy like him. Really starting to come around on him.

My unsung heroes tonight:
Janko - playing like I expect him to, big guy, can create offense and use his size to make plays. Good game for him.
Hathaway - Very good game from him, doing what he has to do......skate hard, finish checks, not take any stupid penalties. And he made some very nice defensive plays.
Hamonic - I don't think he's unsung anymore, really. I think he's easily the team's 2nd best d-man. Just playing a lot of smart hockey.

I don't like complaining about refereeing, but this was an instance where the zebras really impacted the flow of the game and changed momentum a number of times. The Jets are a good team, but man, the referees were key to getting them back in the game.

Dominated in the first
Got dominated in second
Held down the fort in the third
Don’t overthink the second, Winnipeg is really good and they had nothing to lose at that point.
Rittich passes another test. Some big saves, Dave!
