I had him ranking 40th OV in The Next Ones Final Rankings:

#40 - Andersson, Rasmus 6'0 D
Excellent offensive instincts; adventurous in his own zone; high upside

I approve of this pick - admittedly intrigued by Kylington, but satisfied.

Nice pick. Going by a lot of the mocks and ranking, he was probably one of the best left on "the board".

I don't know about this pick. Long term project. I feel like Vande Sompel would have been a better choice if we were taking an undersized PMD. I guess we'll see, like four years from now

Those wanting Kylington should read up on this guy. Easily just as exciting for the potential that this guy can reach though with similar weaknesses and challenges.

I know fata all about him.

but guy had 88 PIM's. Either he hooks a lot or has at least some "snark" contrary to DropIt's quote from Plackec.

I haven't paid much attention to the picks beyond 1st round. I can't believe there are guys with this size and stats available mid-second. I now get the deep draft.

icon57 Andersson is a tremendous offensive talent.

Quote:
Rasmus Andersson is a major boom or bust pick here. He has the offensive ability to be the top defencemen on an NHL powerplay if he continues to develop. However there are some big questions about his defensive game. The tools are there in his skating and quickness, but he has some issues to work on. His game can be reminiscent of a cross between Erik Karlsson and Keith Yandle

FC doesn´t like his speed:

Quote:
Lacks some necessary speed though,
unable to keep up to many OHL forwards........Possesses loads
of NHL upside but has one glaring issue: speed. And that will need improvement.

Canucks Army with a really good report on him, they seem quite high on him, and a 31.7% PCS from the late second is quite good
