Default April 8, just two games.

The Monday OOT has a pair of games that involve playoff positioning
for all four teams. The Penguins are in the five team dog pile for the last
two playoff spots. The Leafs can still pass the Bruins or fall behind the
Panthers and Lightning. The Knights can overtake the Kings and Predators
with a win, while the Canuicks are trying hang on to second place in
the western conference and catch the Stars.

The Penguins have just tied it up at 2-2 on the third period. Crosby with the assist.

I really hope the Penguins make the playoffs. Especially after media was all down Crosby's throat about not being traded to a contender.

Really a strange decision by the coach not to start Crosby in overtime. He didn’t even get onto the ice. Instead, Eller started and got exhausted as the leafs got to make a full line change with possession and he completely missed his coverage in overtime. Worst part is that the Penguins had possession early… could have strategically played keep away for the entire Matthews shift and then put Crosby out there… instead, that line of Eller and Karlsson tried a low percentage chance to score and lost possession that eventually led to the leafs scoring. Didn’t even get to put the best player in the world on the ice in a desperate overtime.

Vancouver imploding and gifting the division to the Oilers. Pathetic.

Already down 2-0 to Vegas 8 minute into the game. The Demko injury (and Lindholm trade) killed the chemistry of the team.

Who is this nobody in net for the Canucks? I haven’t watched many games lately and I know Demko is injured.
Vegas looks good and Canucks look bad… oilers may catch them yet.

Hertl, barbashev, Mantha, eichel. Vegas could be scary again. Need them to face the oilers. Oilers would mangle the kings and, while they would give the oilers trouble, I don’t think Nashville could beat McPowerplay and his sidekick Crysaitl.

The Oilers are not catching the Canucks and we need Vegas to win to get that #3 spot.

Edmonton could run down the Canucks and still end up playing Vegas in round 1. Demko should be getting MVP votes without him the Canucks are very mediocre.

Ridiculous officiating in the Leafs Pens game.

High stick by a Leaf on Crosby call reversed on review because the puck was up there too (?). Matthews with an elbow to Crosby’s head, followed by some ham handed overacting on the ice. (Williams on the panel correctly noted it was intentional). Gio with a clear trip on Karlsson, the commentators say he gets the senior discount

You could see the 20 dollar bills falling out of the ref’s pocket

Disgustingly one sided, stripes

If Vegas wins tonight (they likely will), the Oilers will be three points back with two games in hand. Their schedule isn't "easy", but two games against Arizona, one against the lowly Sharks, and h2h against Vancouver.

It'll likely come down to that head to head matchup. Hopefully Demko is back in net for that game (this Saturday).

The Nucks need to lock down the division. I know division titles are close to meaningless but would still be funny if the Oilers never raise a banner with McDavid.

Vegas’ Achilles heel might be penalties. That would play right into McDinglberry’s hands.
Thompson not happy with his D there.

Eichel scores both Knights' goals for the 2-0 lead. Hughes has two points as they just tied it with a pair of power play goals!

They should be able to plug any ECHL goalie in there and be fine, no?

(that's what we're told)

Remember when Latvia went on a run at world championships and won bronze?
He was MVP of that tournament

This game needs to go to OT.

Points to both sides is imperative.

Vegas must pull ahead of LA and Vancouver needs to drag its pathetic paper tiger arses to a division win.
