That Rangers goal was due in part to McOneManShow staying out for a very long shift

Yeah, that is a good point and I agree.
Trouba, for me, wasn't worth the money. And Myers I am not a fan of. So I think there was room for improvement. But overall, they were an intimidating group.
I would have liked to have seen a bit more of a step by step transition. But then again, there was no predicting the Buff factor.
I am just curious to see how the team identity evolves. But then again, if Buff comes back for the 2nd half, his presence really re-establishes some of the old identity.

“Almost a crosscheck on Neal”. Except, you know, there was no stick.

Kakko got Neal to the face (no stick was involved)

Apparently Buff was ready to retire and the Jets talked him out of it. I'd sooner have just let him retire. I really question how much heart and desire he will have if he has to be convinced to stay.

I think especially with a guy like Buff, who plays a very physical game. You don't wanna be out there trading punches with someone when your mind is out on the lake fishing, or you could get badly hurt.

I think I saw him at Birds Hill in September. Totally empty beach, just Buff swimming in the lake.

I'm not that concerned about the Oilers hot start to the season. Of the first 6 games they've played, 1...1 made the playoffs last season(Islanders). Pretty soft schedule and they're taking advantage.
