I would have said it was a lot of defensive responsibility, but aside from being outmuscled more often than not, he's got good defensive ability IMO.

On the broadcast last night there was some speculation he could suit up against the Hawks?

I expect he will be by the end of this season.

Steinberg just said that there's a pretty good chance that we'll see Kylington play before the end of this home-stand. That's a pretty big bright spot for the organization.

Will be the best thing that happens all year, and a fantastic moment.

Ruzicka is not a 4th liner. He needed a bigger opportunity to play in the top nine, and he's honestly better served on the wing where he doesn't have to compete as much. Chicago should absolutely be claiming this guy. The skillset is evident.
He has 114 NHL games under his belt - it's not like he hasn't been given a chance. He just doesn't understand that, to play in the best league in the world, you have to bust your butt every shift, along with having the talent.

Yeah, Roz has definitely not been a victim of poor roster placement. He's had his moments but had equally disappeared on those top line opportunities that shuffled him back down to the 4th line.

All world skill, top line player when he's on, but it's far and few between for him . Perhaps a waiver claim and a fresh start will help him. Who knows. Big centers with good skills are always a shot in the dark. Especially right now when teams are looking for centers. Maybe he gets claimed, maybe he doesn't, buyer has to beware though.

Not sure if I missed it, but Pelletier is also back for the Wranglers this weekend.

I don’t know that he’s ever shown anything close to all world skill or being a top line player.

Of all the line combinations that included Lindholm and Toffoli last year, the one with Ruzicka was the worst outside of the 15 minutes they played with Lewis.

The more I think about it, the more I think that he will clear. Even league minimum cap space is in big demand right now. Maybe the Ducks or Blackhawks could pick him up?

Pelletier back would be a bright spot as well. His enthusiasm is infectious.

Maybe I'm beating a dead horse but I don't care. If I never have to hear Wills mangle his name again (Rouge-eat-ska) I'll be a very happy listener.

I whole heartedly agree. Fail to see what this coaching staff sees in Oesterle. Guy still has Oiler stink on him.

He hasn't worked hard, he reminds me of Jesse Puljujarvi who just can't figure out how to be an NHLer.

Time to make room for some other kids who have put in their dues

I think the roster will look different after the allstar break.

Kylington, Pelletier in. Trades starting to happen.

Should be an interesting February

There's always been a book on Ruzicka -- goes back to his junior days. Hence, he was a fourth rounder instead of much higher. Tremendous potential that can't put it all together.

I imagine this is the reason they waived DeSimone and not Oesterle.

The guy played 25 games for the Oilers 6 years and and 345 games ago.
