Brand has been on Howard Stern (the source of that comment) at least 3 times post divorce and while he did mention that Brand always seems to insinuate that it was his deep seeded issues and the fact they spent a lot of time apart. I've heard every single interview with Stern including that one did you? When you are a guy with some of the issues Brand has had you need your partner around all the time as he's a womanizer. I wouldn't say I'm a Brand fan but either he's handled the entire divorce thing as classy as has ever been done in a celebrity breakup or he's being paid a lot of money to keep his mouth shut.
I still remember Perry coming on Howard Stern as the very beginning when her "I kissed a girl" she was actually a really boring interview as you could tell she was an innocent preacher's daughter trying to transform into pop star.
Perry and her handlers have done a fantastic job of creating the image and brand as her image is all calculated including not having kids while in the prime of her career. There's tight, revealing outfits but she never goes Miley Cyrus skank and never resorts to cheap stunts like Lady Gaga and some of these other artists that try to gain as much attention by being outrageous. She's one of the best handles pop stars in recent memory and there's simply no way that anything will happen on the halftime show that will jeopardize what they have built. Simply not going to happen.
