Amy did a great monologue. That, plus an extra long Weekend Update meant less sketches than usual.

I think this was the best Weekend Update so far for Jost and Che. They have finally figured out how to play off each other. It usually takes every anchor team a bit of time to find the best approach.

I liked Amy and Kyle doing the teacher/student porn parody, with Ady interrupting.

Normally a host has to work full-time on the show from Monday until Saturday night. Can Donald take that much time away from his campaign?

FML, I've tried to get into every late night show that week (except Meyers) and I've now struck out on all of them. Weird they would need a 2 week break after 3 episodes.

Going to live shows? That would be fun. For SNL you have to win a pre-season lottery to get tickets. Maybe you can line up for dress rehearsal. Would be cool, to have a tour of 30 Rock.

I was planning to line up on the Friday night to try and get standby tickets the next morning. They have just re-opened the NBC tour and we're going on a Monday so hopefully SNL stage is quiet and we can get access.

Really? I thought this was a really weak, Weekend Update. They were playing off each other before. Che is just finally getting his timing down. I think he was nervous in early episodes. Daily Shoe is taped. SNL is live.

The porn skit was good, not great. The Ford theatre started great, and became tired quick.

Also no commercials or videos. Bad episode.

I agree Amy's open was better than average. It waa good. But not amazing by any means.

More Than A Year After Near Fatal Injuries, Tracy Morgan Returns To SNL

http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-w...m_content=2043

"I'm back. It feels so good to be here. You may have seen on the news I was in a terrible car accident a year ago. It was awful. But it also showed me how much love and support I have in this world," Morgan said during the show.

"People were wondering, 'Can he speak? Does he have 100-percent mental capacity?' But the truth is I never did. I may even be a few [IQ ] points higher now."

In one sketch Morgan was reunited with his 30 Rock co-stars Alec Baldwin, Tina Fey, Jane Krakowski and Jack McBrayer. Morgan also brought back two of his familiar Saturday Night Live characters Brian Fellow, an animal expert and Astronaut Jones.

Larry David was in what is likely the show's most memorable sketch, a mock of last week's CNN Democratic presidential debate. David impersonated Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.

I thought it was a pretty good episode. David as Sanders was great, nice to see Tina Fey on Weekend Update

I liked it. Always enjoyed Morgan's characters - Brian Fellowes and Astronaut Jones always crack me up. Larry David killed it in the debate sketch. I also liked the cocaine/poop commercial. Probably the best episode of the season thus far.

Larry David was so good. I miss Curb Your Enthusiasm.....now I'll have to go back and re-watch some episodes,

Nice to see Morgan back in action.

I couldn't mute Demi Lovato fast enough.

Tracy Morgan seems to be yelling all of the time, I don't think I could be around him for more than 5 minutes.
The DNC debate was hilarious with Larry David.

The debate was definitely the best sketch. Larry was great. I was never a fan of Tracy Morgan, so I didn't really enjoy the old characters. I thought he did pretty good in the other sketches though. The Family Feud one was decent, and he was funny in the taped one about wanting to dance.

I know there have been brutal casts before but might this be considered one of the worst ? I just finished the Tracy Morgan episode and watched most of it through my fingers.

Michael Che: HORRIBLE. His delivery and attempts at ad lib are gut churning. The mugging for the camera is high school drama class level.

Keenan Thompson: Impressive in his ability to consistently be unfunny after every episode and every sketch. EVERY sketch.

Kyle Mooney: No comment necessary.

Pete Davidson: We get it: you're high all the time.

Leslie Jones: Obnoxious, loud, 'funny' person. F-.

Having said that, Killam, Pharoah and McKinnon are relatively good in a swamp of manure.

This show needs help. I get there are off weeks but the aforementioned cast members are so horrendous that I consistently have the same look on my face throughout as when I watched Human Centipede.
