I always thought Hamonic was BS
too dangerous to play in the bubble but fine to play and travel a few months later
now this, what a clown
Hopefully his daughter isn't sick due to "alternative medicine" in the first place

I gave him the benefit of the doubt that he was just overly cautious about the bubble. That's OK. But this is the opposite, frankly.

Somewhere here it was stated he was late in getting double vaxxed so he has to wait, like Keith.

Replace seatbelts with vaccines and there’s a lot of similarities. The people of Edmonton look remarkably similar in style and dress too.

What does this have to do with human rights? Do you have to be a POC or LGBTQ+ to have rights?
The guy sounds like an idiot but stuff like these comments drive me nuts.

I think it’s just implying that this is quite possibly the 1st time in his life he hasn’t gotten what he wants, and he’s crying human rights. He’s crying injustice when truth is he’s never experienced it and obviously can’t recognize it.

I mean under normal circumstances it would be against this young man's rights to bar him from earning a living strictly based on medical reasons. Unless....he is deemed a risk to others. Can a player with HIV play hockey or other contact sport? Thats the only remotely similar precedent I could think of.

Of course not. I just find it humorous that he's crying about being oppressed, yet there's a reasonable chance he's never actually been discriminated against in his entire life.
I saw an article today about an Ottawa PPC candidate who "protested" vaccine passports by sitting in a Tim Hortons without a mask and without proof of vaccination. He called it his "Rosa Parks moment". No you idiot, it's not even in the same ballpark. Stuff like THAT drives me nuts...

Will unvaccinated players be allowed to play or even enter the Saddledome?

These people bother me more than the hold outs.
They are selfish cowards who couldn’t be bothered to get a vaccine until it directly affected them. They decided to expose the world to risk when they were just lazy cowards without any principle.
At least people losing their career are sacrificing something for what they believe. They are brainwashed and misguided but at least have some principles. The people who get vaccinated so they can watch their kid play hockey just made the current situation worse for no reason.
Harmonic is the worst, doesn’t play in the bubble then doesn’t get vaccinated to protect his family then gets vaccinated for a few million dollars. Just selfish.

There is far more benefit to society in mandating vaccines than there is for seat belt and helmet laws which generally only protect people from themselves. I know there can be an argument for saving public health care costs, etc, but vaccine mandate are much more to do with protecting everyone in a society than forcing people to protect themselves.

Agree on all fronts. And yet it's honestly better for us to support these people, because it's better for everyone that they get their damn vaccine rather than locking further into the largely misguided (legitimate medical reasons notwithstanding) views...

well, it seems he doesn't have a legitimate medical reason to not get vaccinated. He for personal reasons is choosing to place his and others health and livelihood at risk.
besides, he's not barred from making a living playing hockey, but it may limit the number of places he can work. just because you're a good hockey player doesn't give you a right to play in the NHL.
even under normal circumstances, I don't see any human rights violations.
