I have a friend that works at a liquor store so i get various beautiful deals such as

-24 single beers (beers that servived being dropped) for $19 including GST and deposit
-2 kegs for the price of one keg already discounted 25% so about $145

aaaaahhh the benefits of friends

I like the cost of Gin and Scotch at Superstore... Half decent brands 5-8 dollars cheeper than the corner store.

The local Co-op liquor store has some signs throughout mentioning something like "Our prices include GST and Deposit - Don't be fooled"

A not-so-veiled shot at the Real Canadial Liquor Store that opened a year ago down the street.

(Note: have all the Superstores redone their colour schemes?)

You can get a 12 pack of Keiths for under $17, but I don't think that includes GST, so it's probably a little more, also it isn't cold. But for liquor it's gold you can get Grey Goose Vodka for a little over $30. Not a bad deal at all.
You mean Costco up north up Sarcee trail? Not that I enjoy drinking much since alcohol makes my asian blood woozy due to lack of proper Alcohol digesting enzyme.

Heck I can get hammered off a can of 0.5% Superstore Non-Alcoholic Brew. $4 bucks for a 12-pack can't be beat.

Stupid thread bumps. I was almost out the door to go get a case of Kokanee for $19 and Milwaukee for $10. Drinking in 2006 was much cheaper.

Between this necro thread, the relationship thread and others that are around hovering this subject, I only have one piece of advice :

You will be happier spending a little more for something better. You will drink less, enjoy it more, and getting drunk will become a sometimes byproduct instead of the goal.

Uh oh. Clearly, they're not familiar with the Wannamaker incident. I hope for their sake there isn't another, competing liquor store close by.

Well it looks like there is a Safeway Liquor, 2 BK liquors, wood park liquor and liquor zone all relatively close.

I didn’t even notice it was a bump, the “new Costco in the NW” post should have given it away to me

Other liquor store employees: why are we so busy lately?

I second the guy that said Olympia Liquor 14 years ago. Still the cheapest over all IMO. Costco a close second.
