special cardboard with some type of teflon coating to allow for more spin type moves. Nike/UnderArmour will produce special B-boy wear to allow contestants to do 23% more hipping and 18% more hopping.

Surprised that the IOC did also not introduce DJ'ing/turntabling/scratching as well.

As a 40 something 260lb white guy, my Olympic dreams have been re ignited based on this information.

Im irrationally annoyed by this. Seems like it jumped the queue. Let me have squash already. Athletically impressive sure, but im dubious break dancing meets the critria of a sport...[end old man yells at cloud rant]

To be fair, I've watched a lot of playoff hockey and wondered how different the outcomes would have been with a different set of judges.

They have non tested powerlifting leagues. Strongman isn't tested. The lifting part is already at it's max. However, we're in a stage where people are continually setting new records. Fancy new drugs may be a part of that.

The testing in the Olympics itself is pretty easy to get around.

LOL, the International Olympic Committee has blocked this video. Is it possible for the IOC to continually get further out of touch? Blocking a video for the 88 games of a sport that doesn't even exist in the Olympics anymore.

It's not blocked, you just have to click 'watch on Youtube', presumably for monetization purposes.

That may be one of the dummest things I have heard.

They now have that and other stupid sports but still will not allow wakeboarding, wake surfing and waterskiing (slalom, jumping, tricks) because they use a tow boat.

Summer Olympics are super boring. I understand the events stretching back from ancient times based in the military. How fast can you run? How far can you run? How far can you throw this spear/chained cannonball/hard clay spinnyrock? Swimming, jumping, all of it. But lets be honest its a terribly boring spectator experience for the average person. Soccer is cool, though.

By comparison, the winter games are bat-#### crazy. Lets strap razor blades to our feet and throw girls up in the air while flying around the ice at high speed to music? Lets armor up some of the best athletes in the world and send them out to kill each other over a rubber disc. Lets lie some poor bastards down on metal frame with blades on it and send them head-first down the side of a mountain in a frozen water-slide.

So breakdancing I think will be good for the summer games. Outside of the soccer tourney I might have a reason to watch. But if breakdancing is in, then I have no idea why Gridiron and marching drum corps are not.

You'd rather watch pole-vault? Power-walking?

Making the Olympics less and less relevant.

Pole-vaulting, do you even Allison Stokke?

There are lots of summer sports I would #### can.

All the shooting, unless they starting including a running/moving component. Maybe little Jungle Lanes snap shooting would be useful of combine the marathon and shooting.

How about sailing, or horse jumping........argh..........

All the dance sports are in the South East Asian Games. Actually I think every sport in there. The event features 11 countries and 1784 total medals. In comparison, the 2016 Summer Games has 973 total medals.

Quickstep, Slow Foxtrot, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Five Dance, Cha Cha Cha, Jive, Paso Doble, Rumba, Salsa and Break Dance

I'll give you horse jumping, because it's got lame judges, and the horse does all the work, but sailing is great. It's physical, strategic, and a race. All Olympic worthy caracteristics. It's not just sittin' there waiting for the wind to push you.

The addition of the exciting music is a key indicator of how exciting it is.........

Ditch it

It's also great because it requires vast amounts of equipment and a coastline so it means none of those poor, not so white looking countries can win
