I regret going to cash at what I figured was near top of the bear market rally. I’ve missed a solid 10% of the rebound, although with the USD declining somewhat its about 6-7%. I’ve still dollar cost averaged my usual contributions into the market, but my overall portfolio missed this last bounce.

I've basically been sitting on the sidelines or adding to other positions as they corrected.

My experience with shorter term trades is almost always negative.

Though, in a rare feat of luck I've taken some small to medium sized positions in QSR and BYP over the passed month or so and those have turned out pretty well.

It has indeed. They'll no doubt lose a customer or two over it.

Very frustrating.

The RBC app works for me, website.. not at all. Made trades via app only today.

MX & PPL have been great for me, kicking myself for not buying MTY a few weeks ago, was staring at it for a while @ 21. I owned TD last week @ 58, sold at 62, I still see more drop to be honest, going to wait until I buy back into banks.

Oh man, that's probably very stressful for RBC clients.

This feels like $0 down 40 year mortgages all over again. House prices went screaming up, but as soon as they made that move, a future crash was created, and it is just a matter of when.

It's such a weird market right now.

Some stocks are basically right back where they were pre Covid. Others are still at half their former glory. There's no rhyme or reason to some of it. Next week should be amazing for active trading.

zero down 40 year mortgages are irresponsible, but they didn't lead to the crash. Just a small side piece of a much bigger issue.

Who knows what other ####ed up investment banker #### is going on in the background right now though.

I feel like a lot of this market craziness might have to do with casinos closing, a huge influx of capital into the market that isn't following normal trends. I have acall option position right now that is in the money for more then I could sell the option for. The market is silly right now.

That's almost certainly a bad quote - lots of options (especially ones that are far from the money - are illiquid, so you are maybe seeing the last trade price. I think it's very likely you could sell your option for at least its intrinsic value.

The issue is the volume is soo low on the options, and the stock shot up 10% seeming for no reason.

Canadian options just don’t have much volume in general, so if that’s what you’re trading it might be a factor? In the US some options have loads of volume and you can do a lot more there.

Right, exactly. My experience with illiquid Canadian options has been that if you are willing to sell them for close to intrinsic value (to take profits) you can throw out a limit order and it will get filled.
