The Dark Knight Rises, as campy and as stupid a thing that batman has ever done, which is saying a lot. Dark knight at least had Ledger's performance to carry it (everything else about that movie was awful), DKR has a villian who's voice alternates between a sean connery impression and someone playing a trumpet into a shoe.

Transformers…any of them.
Meet the Parents series.
When I told people that I didn't like these they proceeded to give me a long-winded speech about why they were so good. I've never been convinced at any point that they were anything more than crowd pleasing schlock.
I'm sure there are more, but those are the ones that came immediately to mind.

Gravity and in particular Sandra Bulluck and George Clooney who were the worst actress and actor for those roles.

The Hobbit movies (most people on this board seem to like them).
Harry Potter
Robocop
The Kill Bill movies
Death Proof
The Hangover
Fight Club
The Departed
Return of the Jedi (some good moments, many bad ones)
Full Metal Jacket
The Shining
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Point Break
The Sixth Sense
A Beautiful Mind
Donnie Darko
The Graduate
Crash
Napoleon Dynamite
Slumdog Millionaire
Judd Apatow movies
Avatar
Superbad
Transformers (even the first one sucked)
Anchorman
Batman (the Tim Burton versions)
Tree of Life
Mystic River
Platoon
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
The Grudge
The Thin Red Line... or really anything with Sean Penn in it
Then of course there is Shawshank Redemption... a very good movie don't get me wrong, but it's not nearly the best so many claim it to be.

Fight Club? Seriously? Go fata yourself. That might be one of the greatest movies in the last 20 years. I would LOVE to hear the reasons why you don't like it. Should be fun.
I'll even give you a pass on the rest of the list which has quite a few notable great films if you can explain yourself adequately on Fight Club.

Good one, I honestly think Ben Stiller is one of the worst actors in Hollywood. If this was a list of the most overrated actors in Hollwood he would be on the top of my list. He either plays the same normal guy in all of his movies, or the same guy overacting in them. Just not a good actor in the slightest, and can't really do comedy either. Decent director I suppose, but that's about it. People criticize Vince Vaughn, Jim Carrey, or Adam Sandler; but at least they've shown they have some range, whereas Stiller has next to none.

Zero Dark Thirty. Didn't check the reviews and honestly thought it was a terrible movie. Plot, acting, pacing all felt bad. Couldn't believe how well it was received critically.

Not saying you have to love his comedies, but he's done some pretty good movies too.

Movies you hate that everyone loves
Wow, kind of surprised by a bunch of these answers. The Departed? Huh..
Avatar is one of my least favourite movies. Also, I had a really hard time watching the first Bourne movie.
A Clockwork Orange is on there too.

It's the complete opposite for me. I like movies with Jim Carey in it more than I know they deserve.

I never said it was a bad movies, or that I even hated it, but I generally find it to be quite overrated (and not Fincher's best work). First off there is the movies treatment of women, as Marla is the only female presence in the movie. Aside from her ghastly performance all she is viewed as is a sex object for Norton, and her character is generally forced upon us just because...
Beyond that Fight Club is another "cool" first world problem movie, that preaches why should we give a damn, and what's the point of everything? That's not something really new even though it tries to fashion itself into something that is. It's a tad preachy as well, and tries to stand against what the everyday man works to accomplish. It's a very bleak movie, and I didn't find myself giving a crap about the characters, and while it's well made it just wasn't something I found that interesting. It's really the movies outlook that I didn't enjoy. Not that I need something to be overly optimistic, but if he didn't really give a crap about anything then why should I care about him (or the movie)?
IMDB has it listed as the 10th best movie of all time, which is far too high. Top 100? Yeah that sounds about right, but top ten is too high for my liking. I prefer a movie like American History X over Fight Club quite honestly.

Ok, so it wasn't for you, but you didn't hate it, so it's kinda off topic for this thread doncha think? Maybe your list needs revision.
And fair criticisms, but I think it goes to a deep dark place in all of us that we don't want to admit exists. I love films that do that, so to each their own.

First of all, Murray had a cameo in Zombieland, so not really a Bill Murray movie. Secondly, you and I would not get along very well. Hot Fuzz is one of my all time favorite comedies and Royal Tenenbaums is one of my all time favorite movies in any genre.

Well most stuff on my list I generally don't hate, just mostly movies I find overrated. I find things to like in most movies, so it's difficult to list off movies most people like that I "hate". Usually if I hate something that much I'll just turn it off and never go back to it. I would hope that applies to more posts in this thread, as I have no idea how people can actually hate something like Dark Knight or Pulp Fiction, as there should be certain things people enjoy in movies like those.

There's a fantastic documentary that HBO did on the hunt for Obama.
That's the movie to watch.
