Default Changing car deck and satellite radio

So I'd like to change the factory deck in my truck to a new gps deal. I have XM already built in to the factory system and would like to keep it. My question is, do I need another xm tuner to go with the "satellite radio ready" gps system?

I can't say I know for sure, but my guess is that if you were able to control the XM radio with the factory stereo; most likely the XM tuner was built into the radio itself.

Yes you need an additional unit to add to any 'sat ready' units. For example this is the pioneer unit you would add to their sat ready units.
