Flames haven't won in a while and are low in the standings. Sharks have been playing great. The Flames shouldn't have a chance tonight.
4-2 Flames

I like these lines by Hartley a bit better than than last few games.
Although, First line looks a bit scary.

Glad to see the Sven/Monahan/Max line stick together. I think it has nice potential.
Defense also looks more respectable with Smid in there. Get Gio back, and it's somewhat decent. We've missed that guy even more than I thought so far.

If Stempniak is back then i take it Reinhart is out. Also Hartely said that Smid playing with Smith was not for sure. I do hope it happens because i feel SOB should not be on NHL ice.

I don't mind the lineups. First line better start producing or at least getting some chances. Flames cannot rely on Cammy and Monahan lines all the time. I am not a Butler hater but I think he is playing way too many minutes. I hope Hartley will put Smid once in awhile with Brodie so Butler does not have to play 15+ minutes. Other than that good luck Flames..i hope we will see a good game and good start. I also hope their power play starts clicking.

Sharks have lost their last 5 straight. I think this is a great chance to jump on a slumping team and get a couple points. I really like those lines if they hold true. Monahan-Baertschi-Reinhart has potential, and Cammy-Backlund-Hudler looked great last game. Also no SOB.
Hopefully we don't give them 9 powerplays this game.

I honestly don't understand why Cammy is not projected in the 1st line - there's decent chemistry between him and Stajan, while Galiardi would provide some size and puck digging skills for Hudler and Backlund.
Also, I think it's Derek Smith who should've been benched instead of O'Brien but overall the lineup is OK.

wow, shows how much I've been following hockey lately. For some reason, I still see the sharks as a good team....This might be the chance the Flames need to hit the ground running! Kick the sharks while they're down!

To be fair, they've lost 4 of those 5 in OT or Shootout.

So what makes any of those lines the first line? The fact that it was written down first on the list? The fact that Stajan is on it? Clearly there is no first line. And if there is, I would argue that it IS the line that Hudler and Cammy are on. That line looked good last game.

That Backlund line is most definitely the #1 line.
The order they are shown in means nothing. I still find it funny when half of CP gets all worked up over the order the projected lines is presented.

I like those lines - glad to see Reinhart get another shot (unless Stempniak is ready to go)
Glad to see Bouma back in to provide speed and energy to the 4th line.
Games after long layoffs always make me nervous, but this team seems to be able to show up every night. Hopefully the addition of Smid adds a spark.
Beating SJ would be a nice reward for a team that deserves more than they've gotten lately.

If Stempniak is back: I hope McGrattan is benched, Reinhart takes his place on the 4th line and Stempniak moves to the kid line. No need to be playing McGrattan for 82 games a season.

Hopefully Smid brings a physical presence we so desperately need on the backend. Flames go down, but go down swinging. 4-3 Sharks.
