Saddledome fans are terrible and should be embarrassed
I don't care if you pay a bunch of money or you company does, you are not supporting the team. These last 2 games were road games. I've been a fan since they moved from Atlanta, so I get that that the Canadian teams get their fans out. But come on, this is an Oilers team that's been struggling forever and is behind us in the standings. Why is every Flames fan in the lower bowl sitting on their hands from the opening faceoff? Why is every Oiler clear from the zone cheered like an Oiler home game, while the Flames fans are quiet from the start?
Does anyone in the lower bowl at the Saddledome actually care about hockey? If the Flames get a new arena, can you just move them all to an elitist social area and put some real fans down low?

I love the Flames, but the Saddledome has never really been a loud or passionate place for the most part. It has its moments, but it's always evident when other fans, particularly Canadian fans, are in our building. I wish our fans wwre louder and more raucous.

The problem is the loudest fans tend to be way up in the nosebleeds far from the action and the lower bowl is filled with indifferents. Also the dome has that sound absorbing concrete roof so it makes it seem even more quiet. I always thought the flames should designate a standing section behind one of the nets just for home fans and try to create a section like they have at soccer games of younger belligerents full of cheap booze... probably wouldn't work here but I'd be interested to see someone try it.

Fans at the dome are always pretty quiet.
Calgary fans are a lot like Ottawa fans. Extremely quiet.

See, the fans make noise when the team does stuff that deserves it. That last shift got an ovation.
