At this rate, we should be introduced to Maester Aemon before end of season one.

FFS why do they have to make the brother/sister love scenes so drawn out?
I do actually like the overall pacing of the show. We are getting to see how the rivalries build up amongst the generations. I think this is more necessary than on GoT, as most of the battling in HoD is done within one family. If we just had endless heirs and children popping out of nowhere, it would be pretty confusing.

I understand what they are doing with the time jumps and why they are doing it, I'm just not sure it makes for enjoyable TV. Will have to see how it all shakes out.

So the knife used to cut rhaneyra can we confirm that’s the same knife that killed the night king? It seemed almost too obvious so now I’m questioning myself. I really enjoyed the throw back to GOT if it was intact that

Yeah it is supposed to be the same dagger, story wise. They changed the appearance for HOD because the show runners thought the prop that was used in GOT was too "fantasy" and explained the discrepancy as someone will make changes to the dagger at some point before it is seen in GOT.

Would be a bit more intriguing if there was at least a question to be had instead of it being so overly obvious.

Speaking of which, how come Alicent’s kids have snow white hair?

I think it's done on purpose to make the audience feel uncomfortable. My wife was trying not to look lol.

Will they be jumping back in time? I'm okay if the time jumps are just forward but if they go back and forth it would become too disjointed.

haha me too . I'm enjoying his unlikely longevity throughout this season . the real curveball was after he reflected on his reign with the hand in episode 5 . you figured it was his swan song but psych! a decade later and and mf is still kicking
they'll bring in Andy Serkis for season 2

New Rhaneyra is not great, and she has no chemistry with Matt Smith despite the sex scene.
I'm not even sure there's a solution given the subject matter, but I feel like this series is marred by a lack of subtlety, especially in the last two episodes.

great episode . can't believe the people dumping on the show before giving the new cast members a chance to make the roles their own . so much to chew on in that episode .. eyepatch is going to be trouble going forward

Paddy Considine has owned the screen for his entire tenure on this show. Amazing.

I cannot follow all the children, time jumps don't help.
Great episode though.
