never any good options. Then the one I think is a decent option can't even submit their paperwork right which pretty much rules them out as an option too just due to pure incompetence.

Sadly, and I’m not kidding, I can’t even tell which party you’re talking about because I think they’ve all had run-ins with Elections Alberta now. I definitely agree with the incompetence angle though. What a mess.

Cap, is this really going to be the hill that conservatives die on for the NDP campaign? I am sure there are bigger fish to fry. Kenney even says it himself regularly (oil, jobs, economy). Pretty sure Sarah Hoffman said this shouldn't happen again. Not sure about the bullet shield part, that's being dramatic.
Every party is goofing up along the way.

Nah, its not the hill that the Cons are looking to die on, or fight on, when you look at Kenney, he's pretty much rolling out policy announcements every few days.
I would expect that his policy decisions will shift towards economics once the writ is dropped and he will move on from things like for example human trafficking.
Every party is goofing up, f'ing up and generally being un appealing.
I think the NDP have had more in terms of what seems like panic moves, or moves to keep the debate away from the economy so far.
First of all, separating Notley from the NDP and making it leader vs leader in a vacuum might be a smart move, but I don't think that Albertan are really going to buy it.
I think that the website of nasty that the NDP put up was a misfired dud that was nullified by things like hospital campaigning and has faded from the news with little to no damage to the UCP.

What campaign?
Don't you need an election to run a campaign on?
Which is certainly the point...the NDP need to stop using government money to play party politics.
If Notley and crew want to start that stuff, then drop the writ FFS, and let's get on with it.
It's pretty transparent what's happening now though. Dives me crazy no matter who does it.

Fair enough, Cap. All parties so far are doing dumb things. Personally I see the UCP having more issues than anyone and Kenney as the most questionable leader, but who knows where the focus will naturally shift once the writ is dropped.
As much as i would like to think this is going to come down to leader vs. leader (in which they are evenly matched), I do believe most people see the UCP as representing big business coming back, and as such, will likely win. It doesn't really matter what the NDP announces or how many times the UCP sticks their fingers in their own butt hole.

Sure, and in complete fairness, I do believe that this election isn't about what party wins, but by how bad things get for the NDP, I mean, its likely that they form the official opposition because frankly the Alberta Party is a gong show, the Liberal's should really just purge the ranks and start over, but the question is how many NDP actually return to the house for a second seat.
There were too many misfires by Notley and Co. Also to stack on Albertan's are rightfully freaking out about Jobs, and survival, and I think that the trust in the NDP to turn it around is incredibly low.
We can argue about whether its all their fault, not their fault or partially their fault. But they have been the government in place for the last four years of poor economic results, no pipelines and fleeing investment so its likely that they're going to take the bullet.

I wonder if the #s that answers yes will end up on an NDP marketing list. Theres usually a reason to get people to self identify (vs an opinon poll). Did the message say who paid for it?

I'm pretty sure "Ryan" is Jason Kenney and it's the UCP robotexting all of us.
