I like learning more about Jean-Luc's past. I like elaborating more on the relationship with his father that was touched on in Family. I dislike how much of the episode it took up. If they had just left it as the counselor scene and had Fake Laris come in to that I'd have actually really liked everything they were doing there. I disliked the entire sub-plot of monsters and young Picard running around in his mind. Much like Picard and Gul Madred, now I see Picard as a scared child instead of the dignified retired admiral he is.

I am not as disappointed as a lot of people here (the not dealing with Discovery probably has me a lot more patient) but the last three episodes could have been a single episode if I am being generous. They're taking good ideas and then executing them in a poor and bloated manner which is making them take way longer than they should and turning them into mush like an overcooked stew.

That episode was almost 'Star Trek-y' in its approach...is there yet hope??

Yeah, the episode was better. Jurati as Borg Queen is still too weird. Seven would have been more interesting.

Much better episode than the previous two. Felt more like old-school Trek.

She's coming for LaSirena but already has control of La Sirena?

Well, okay....

I liked the Picard/Guinan/Q stuff though.

I agree, but I doubt that Seven would have been seduced by the Queen.

Somewhere Kate Mulgrew's hair would be catching fire and her head would subsequently explode...

lol my wife made this comment last episode:
"Your space opera has turned into a land soap opera"

I impotently spit out "time opera..." but the damage to my ego was done.

But space is expensive, while time travel to our present day is cheap and allows low-effort commentary on how broken our society is competed to the utopian federation

Jokes aside, the trailer is not that bad. I hope that they have no writer cross over from other current star trek properties (except for LD) and that they don't drive this straight into the ground.
