Default Place to eat on Christmas Day

Our family is celebrating Christmas on Christmas eve as half of the family is heading out of town on Christmas Day. The rest of us are around town this year and were looking for someplace to eat brunch/lunch.
Does anyone know what places are open Christmas Day?

Yup. We have a tradition now that we go out and have a Chinese dinner every Christmas day. No cleanup required!

If you're fan of Middle Eastern/Persian food, try House of Kebab on Edmonton Trail. It's literally a house turned into a restraunt so the space is a bit small, but the food is great and not to mention really cheap.

And the Delta and Hyatt downtown both do. I imagine places like the Sheraton, the Palliser, and similar places would too.

Go to a movie and have popcorn for dinner. That's what I'll be doing on the 25th

Yeah in the north, your best bets are probably Ginger Beef, T. Pot or China Palace. That's usually our go-to's for Christmas.

Those are scientifically proven to not actually be food though.
