So the wife decided she wants to go the the game on NYE. We've left the little one with her parents that night and got a room at the Hyatt. Is there a nice steakhouse (she loves steak when she is pregnant) that is close by that anyone would reccomend? I'm asking cause early so I can make reservations asap.

Palomino and Saltlik are right next to the Hyatt. I've enjoyed Saltlik in the past.

Trib Steakhouse, best downtown for sure. Also I think Hys is opening or Ruth Cris. There are a ton of good resteraunts on 8th ave now.

Vintage looks like it might be interesting. I see on the last link that The Living Room made the list. Is it still a good place to eat? I've eaten there once years (10+ maybe?) and it was great. We did the 5 course chef's choice, is it still good?

Second vote for Vintage. I am a big steak guy and have hit every steakhouse downtown. Vintage is the best. Great, great place and not that expensive.

Funny thing is that is our usual go to if we stay over for a game. Holiday Inn Express----CTrain----Powket Dawg or Rotisserie Chicken----Flames win!!!

+1 for Vintage. Rush (next to the Palliser) is also one of our favourites and happens to be our choice for New Year's this year!
