I learned something kind of interesting on the weekend.
A friend of mine is a dietician, and I don't remember how we got talking about fibre, but she said if you have high cholesterol, two tables spoons of fibre buds (that super gross cereal that has a texture I can only describe as twig-like) every day, it is almost guaranteed your numbers will drop after a month.
Of course I mentioned the near indelibleness of fibre buds, and she agreed, and said to mix them into something like oatmeal (or any cereal). So I tried it today with oatmeal, and it was actually pretty good--I think it made the oatmeal taste better, in fact.
