Big Bang Fans: Actress who plays Mrs. Wolowitz passes away

The lady who voices Howard's mother, Mrs. Wolowitz has passed away after a battle with cancer.

I've tried watching BBT and its just not for me so I was not aware that she worked on that show.

I will remember her best as the woman George dated on Seinfeld. She was the daughter of George's unemployment agent.

It'd be much easier to replace a voice actor than one of the characters who physically appear on camera. Someone else could do the voice and it may be difficult to tell if you didn't know the actor had died. It depends who does it.

BBT is a lot less funny this year.

i always thought the voice belonged to the woman who played costanza's mom......i wonder how much she was paid per year for that gig?

as an aside, that picture in teh article makes this actress look in her late 40's

I always thought the voice was Howard's wife Bernadette. When ever she screams on the show it sounds exactly the same (thought that was the joke).

Wouldn't surprise me if Bernadette took over the role of Howard's mom, if they want to keep the character on the show.
