One of my all time favourites for sure. I remember the Flames being down by a few goals with like a minute left, and he jumped in front of a slapshot like the Stanley Cup was on the line. He was completely fearless.
Does Yelle work in hockey today? Wonder what became of him?
I almost forgot about Wendel Clark and how he was drafted as a defenceman. The Leafs were very smart to convert him to forward. Crazy to take a player first overall and then try to change their position like that.
Minnesota kind of did the same thing with Brent Burns but in reverse. That also worked out (though Sharks did briefly try to convert him back).
When they put him on waivers, would we pick him up?
Pass. He had a good year with Tanev, who makes everyone look good and besides that is barely an NHLer. This team doesn't need another D man like him right now.

Very true, wouldn't take him at league minimum. I like to think Craig would ignore him out of spite instead.

He's in my industry, runs a small boutique eComm company out of Vegas. Heard him on a podcast a while back talking about how playing hockey converted into managing brands.
