I know Boomer isn't a regular insider, nor does he promote himself as one, but he said he had it from a pretty good source that Kylington was offered a 1 year deal at the same salary he was making, or pretty close to it.

I watched Bednar press conf before a game and he said they want to get him more ice time but he's missed so much time plus he needs to learn a different system.

Thing is....how do you not get some assurance of your role before turning down the bird in the hand? He's the 8th blueliner behind Ludvig and De Haan.

Believe Conroy himself said there was an fair offer on the table, at that point it was up to kylington to sign or not.

The goal versus the Islanders wasn’t a great look either. Just stood there and gave a light poke check.

Not only was it a weak poke check but he backed his entire body away from net to the corner. Just insanely poor positioning

Missing all that time probably set him back and he wasn't a finished product in the first place. I hope for him he can get acclimated to their system as I don't wish him any ill will.

I don't think anyone wishes him ill will, its just it was such an obvious bad decision at the time it makes you wonder what on earth him and his agent were thinking

Nothing like backing away while the opponent is in the slot lol.

Those Colorado people just won't get him. Time to come back to Cow-Town. The Flames have all the livestock bells he'll ever need.

Considering the fact that all his time away was for mental health reasons, you would think coming back on a 1-year deal to a familiar place, where the club treated him well, and he had a comfort level would be the best fit.

I loved this player and wish him the best. But man I just shake my head at the stupid decision he made.

I'd still rather have Kylington than Hanley or Barrie.

But yeah the advice he got was horrible - signing that contract with the Flames should have been an no brainer

Its pretty obvious his camp thought there would be more options for him. Lets get real he barely got an NHL contract at the end of the summer. Guy wasnt a hot ticket July 1.
