At least domestic flights aren't sucking too badly. I went to Winnipeg to visit my folks (would have driven if not for an accident closing the #1 last Thursday).

Calgary to Winnipeg: through airport security in 30 seconds.
Winnipeg to Calgary: through airport security in 30 seconds.

Both times I printed my baggage tag and dropped my luggage off at the conveyor belt without waiting for a damn thing. I could have shown way with way less time to spare.

While waiting for my flight I bought some lunch and listened to David Billingsley on his piano. A gifted piano player.

I recently spent some time at the newly renovated airport in Kansas City MCI. Loved it. Good variety of dining, drinking and shopping.

When the airlines bend you over, which airport would you prefer to get bent over in. Sad that this is what airline travel has come to.

Also why is basic household/vehicle #### at Canadian tire rising in price by 20% or so since I last went in just weeks ago?

Might as well buy everything online now.

I’d go with something busy and absolutely disorganized just so I can sit with a coffee and amuse myself watching people be strugglers. Had a great layover in O’hare once. Flights in and out from all over the world and nearly every culture represented in a big intersection. Complete chaos and I love it.

My wife suffers from these, usually in the form of migraines. It amazes me how much progress we make in other areas of medicine, but we can’t figure these out. “Honey, pressure is dropping, take your _____ oh right, they have no idea what to do. Here’s an ice bag, go hide in the basement bedroom for the next 12hrs.”

I'm always surprised people with pressure migraines live in Calgary.

The pressure changes around here are insane.

Could you get her some sort of 'Iron Lung' or perhaps even a Diving Bell?

She should get refered to a headache specialist. I have migraines and have been seeing a specialist and taking injections. It's really helped. You can PM me for some details.

Thanks. She’s run the gauntlet a couple times, different specialists, meds, injections, etc and she’s gotten tired of answering all the same questions each time, so she’s chosen to grit her teeth and bear it for a while. As soon as she knows it’s going to be a migraine she’s got one med that takes the edge off and reduces the duration, but it still wipes her out for the day. Hoping something new is available next time she’s ready to see a specialist again.

Lots of things piss me off (yeah, no #### I know). But probably 1st on that list is the clowns who speed down residential roads. Like, there’s the anger-inducing ‘why the #### are you driving 50 down here’ losers, then there’s the criminal clown shoes who you can literally hear their engines gulping air from down the street. These assclowns who have no issue putting the lives of playing children at risk because they’re so damn stunted cognitively they think they’re badass.

Might get a camera and start tracking some of these guys. Not usually my thing but it feels like someone is going to get hurt and it better be the drivers man.

I live in a small town, and it seems to be the women from age 30 to 40 who are the maniacs on our residential streets. Heads in their laps, presumably on Facebook, full speed off a stop sign to 60 or 70 and then full brakes at the next one. I'm not sure who is more dangerous, the seniors, who should have their licenses taken away, or them.

It really GMG when people pretend they can tell the difference between 40 and 50 standing in their living room or on the sidewalk with their arms crossed and a stick up their asses.

I got honked at and yelled at by some old cow driving the other direction while I was doing 30 in a playground zone... for 'speeding'. My former community's Facebook group was full of senile idiots who swore up and down that people were speeding through the neighbourhood, but when someone finally got a speed trap set up, they caught ... zero speeders. I remember this distinctly because it was on the news and I found it f--king hilarious.

People are generally sh-t at judging vehicle speed, there's a reason police use speed measurement devices. Your camera will do nothing but raise your blood pressure.
