Got the Pfizer bivalent booster no problem at all at CVS in Palm Springs.
It hasn’t been approved yet in Canada. Hopefully Health Canada will not find any issues lol.

Has anyone here opted for Novavax? Can it be used if you formerly used mRNA vaccines? Just curious.

There's no reason you can't take it after an mRNA primary series, and it's sometimes recommended if you've had bad reactions to mRNA doses. However, Novavax doesn't have an updated version to target Omicron, so that's a strike against it.
For all the good things about mRNA vaccines, they do seem to be less well tolerated than more traditional technologies, at least so far.

Oh no really - I haven't had any reactions to the vaccines so far, but this will be my first Moderna dose. I've had two Astra Zeneca and two Pfizer. What kind of symptoms are you having?

My 2nd booster of Moderna knocked me out for 2 days.. maybe I was already fighting something as I didn't have that kind of reaction to any of the previous doses.
Wasn't the bivalent one, was the same thing I had the previous 3 shots.

How long did it take to hit you? I got my bivalent Moderna yesterday and so far so good. I also am 100% certain I had Omicron early Feb when there was no testing available so maybe that is helping my reaction? So far I'm AZ, Pfizer, Pfizer, Moderna, pretty much the whole collection now.

I had Covid (im assuming Omicron) in May. Had the Booster 2 weeks ago. Had zero side effects on the booster even though I had side effects with each of the first 3 regular shots.

I was a little sluggish with bivalent but similar to flu shot and my Pfizer shots. AZ kicked my ass.

For me the worst was maybe 36 hours after my shot. It seemed to pass relatively quickly after that

I had my Bivalent last night about 7:30, so far so good, other than a sore arm.

Yikes. I was gonna get a Moderna booster at the same time as the flu shot, maybe that's not a great idea? I've had 1 AZ and 3 Pfizer....Pfizer usually left me sluggish the next day.
Anyone else done flu and Covid shots at the same time?

You too? I just got mine the other day.
I often react to vaccines, I get the flu shot every year and it usually smacks me around a bit but I was amazed that with the first two COVID shots I got no side effects.
Then I got the Bivalent Moderna and its taking all of the energy out of me, feverish. Its no fun.
But yeah, my wife and I went and got it because we booked a trip to Mexico.

I did when I got my 2nd Pfizer. Covid in the left arm, flu in the right. Felt fine, maybe a little sluggish.

Finally got my email to get my 2nd booster! Any thoughts on getting Novavax vs the Moderna bivalent?

We got the new Moderna booster Tuesday morning. My wife had fever like symptoms prior but not really this time.
We both felt pretty light headed that night, like we were buzzed. And both have pretty sore arms and arm pits still, more so than prior.

Here in BC, our centrally-planned distribution is taking forever to get to people under 40. If I lived in Alberta, I would just run on down to the pharmacy!
