I'm not saying it has to be one or the other. I'm saying it is better if there is at least one parent at home even part time.

You have so many friends with stay at home husbands that you hear them teasing one another about it?

Thanks for clarifying, my objection to your point was mainly that you specified a mom staying home. There is research that backs up that having a parent full time at home is better and research that supports that thier is no difference. So you can definately make a reasonable argument that children are better off if one parent stays home.

My problem with that conclusion is there is definitely research saying that women are simply hard-wired in a way that makes them better to deal with younger children. There are exceptions to the norm of course.

Oddly enough in my circle of 4 couples, 3 of them are about to have stay at home husbands. Well... 2.5 (one is working part time from home).

Speaking of the intellectual dark web, here is an Edmonton Comic book shop that is deliberately no-platforming a creator because they don't agree with his youtube channel.

Brief summary of "Comicsgate."
https://www.inverse.com/article/4113...l-dc-gamergate
Quote:
Comic sales have slowed, that much is true, especially compared to the early nineties when the speculator boom was at its highest. But book sales have slowed across the board, along with prose literature, in the face of changing media. But the profile for comics have never been higher, as mainstream pop culture is actually excited for a movie featuring Thanos and the Infinity Stones. Not only are the demands made by Comicsgate offensive idea, they don’t make sense.
We’ve seen this before. It happened with video games and science-fiction literature. Despite the complicated origin story worthy of a supervillain, Comicsgate isn’t anything new. It’s little more than the latest irate gasp of fading white hegemony in geek culture.

Link to Jawbreakers; an old fashioned comic book story with no agenda.

Perhaps I'm missing the point... as a business owner don't you get to choose what products you offer? I don't understand how this is even a blip on the radar let alone a thing.

And here’s a look at some of the ####ting things the creator of the comic book has done:

Oh no, a comic book store won’t stock the work of a ignorant bigot. Noooooooooo! Comics!!!!!!

The Culture Warz afflicting the nerdsphere are truly bizarre. As in, people tallying the genders of the various monsters depicted in the Dungeons & Dragons Monster Manual bizarre.

so maybe bias? After all being targeted by some youtuber with 70k subscribers would definitely make the author present things in as unbiased way as possible.

The transcripts of the videos, not the authors own words, are where people get a good idea of who Meyer is.
Sorry, outside of the “stick it to the libs!” attitude he has, I’m not going to get up for someone who actively uses the homophobic slur “fag” and calls a transgender person a “pervert” for being trans and, generally, demeans every woman he doesn’t like by using sexually degrading language.
I also support the store’s choice not to stock his book, but to order it should anyone want it. I think that’s absolutely fair.

The feminist comic with the #### antagonist is a joke right?
Thats almost as bad as when Archie was shot by a gay hating right winger as a finale.
It's nice they don't use any demeaning language however. Now check out those turd cutters!
#### is censored? Hahah
