As a result of a lot of very fortunate circumstances. I wouldn’t bet on it happening again.

Not even close to the same team, and there won't be a new coach bounce that the Oilers seem to always need.

They look too slow, they look lazy and un engaged, and they think they can play pond hockey in a contact league.

They will likely get the Coach Q bump in early December, but don’t see them being able to put together a run.

All the guys that left have performed.

Skinner is the only one brought in that I see bringing his full value to the table.

Do you really think that Katz is going to be thrilled at paying another coach not to coach.

Since 2019 I think the Oilers have had 5 head coaches.

I would think if they approached Coach Q he's asking for more money then McDavid and a 10 year contract that pays him after he's fired in year two when the country club turns on him.

Eventually continually firing coaches has a negative effect.

I don't see any evidence that Katz is tight with money when it comes to icing a team. Few NHL owners would have given any player $100 million in signing bonuses as he just did with Draisaitl. I don't think he would care how many coaches he's paying as long as it takes them to a cup.

No other team in the league is hiring Coach Q other than the Oilers. He won’t be expensive and the ultimate fanboy Katz would literally leverage his business to do whatever it takes for the Oilers to win.

I like the question. It's what everyone is starting to see in his game so it's legitimate at least.

Obviously they feel that any broadcasts covering the Oilers, even national ones, should include commentators performing intimate acts on their star players, and anything that does not include that is "rough".

That 2–3-week timeline seems like they made it up to make this McReturn look like herculean effort.

Oh exactly. Edmonton media: "Connor has a hangnail, edmonton doctors say he'll be out at least a week." Returns next game.... "Oh my god, he is the pinnacle of toughness!".
