The other thing that's kind of clever with the Australian bills is that they're different lengths, in order of denomination. So that when you stand them on end, they're easy to sort.
The polymer bills took some getting used to, but now I do like them. And short of taking a flame to them, they're pretty much indestructible.

Canadians will no longer have to worry that their tens and twenties might dissolve if they mistakenly go through the wash. And the bills themselves are far more indestructible, unless, of course, they are melted by a flame.

Hmmmph. Great. So now I can't set my money on fire anymore? What's the world coming to?

We don't have to worry about that now. Money doesn't disintegrate in the wash like regular paper does.

Also, can we get rid of the term "dollar", and just use "loonie" instead? We can have 5 loonie bills, 10 loonie bills, etc. Sounds way cooler.

Polymer sounds cool but I hope they don't make the bills different sizes.
They do that in the UK as well and its annoying. Especially the really big ones that don't really fit in your wallet or pocket.

I hope they make them smaller as well, just like the Aussie bills.

Aren't the bills in Canada slightly different sizes? Isn't that how change machines and automatic check-out machines sort the bills?

I thought that unlike American money- ours was able to withstand a wash. Or at least when I find a $20 bill in the dryer vent I make that assumption that it survived the wash.

Those dummies, they basically tell you how to print money.
I'm off to staples for a new printer and some plastic pellets. The 5 story buble could be an issue though.
