I like it that they're connecting the various Marvel stuff together, like they regurarly do in comics. When you have a fictional universe filled with interesting characters, it's a good idea to use the various stuff as backstories to new stuff.
Although so far pretty much everything has been connected to the Avengers film and not much else.
The Fantastic Four will also be rebooted to connect it to the other films.

To the other Marvel films, the other FF films, the other X-Men films...? Can you elaborate?
With X-Men and FF still with Fox, I don't think they'll be playing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe inhabited by The Avengers et al.

Yeah actually I'm sorry, the FF will be rebooted to connect it to the X-Men.
Anyway, still connected to something.

I enjoy it - kids like it to. I have realistic expectations for these types of programs so it is pretty easy to keep me entertained.
I find "the blacklist" pretty bad however.

I actually really liked the last episode, I thought the writing was pretty strong and the acting was pretty strong.
I loved the rib about the extra Iron in Caulson's blood.

That's too bad. And not trying to be condescending here, totally honest question? What were you expecting from the show?

This latest episode was the best one yet. Feels like it's hitting stride.

I really liked last nights episode, it felt like it was written by JW. They had very good back and forths, some really good humor (I was killing myself with the cart and door part).
I'm starting to think that Skye's parents were up to no good.
Jemma was great, the break in scene was very well done.
Overall a really strong episode. The mystery continues in terms of Coulson and what he is, but we're now sure that Tahiti is a magical place.
This show just feels like its doing a buffy. When Buffy came out in the first season it wasn't great and didn't really hit stride until the last episode of the first season when they finally got the characters nailed down.
Melinda May was pretty awesome, in the rescue scene when the plane turned around and she looked out the windshield I was expecting machine guns or lasers to pop out all over the plane. But I guess this is the non lethal department of Shield.
Is there a level 9?

From that phone call Coulson made at the end, I'm thinking he did die. Straight up. They told him 8 seconds or whatever, but I have a feeling it was a lot more than that. They probably flew his body down to Tahiti in order to resurrect him using some kind of magic.

Think it's pretty clear that wherever he went or whatever happened to him, it wasn't actually Tahiti.
I think my favorite bit in the episode was Coulson's "conversation" with May while she was doing Tai Chi.

Yeah, I liked that conversation, but I'm still chuckling about the sliding door skit.

I hope there's fallout between Coulson and the rest of SHIELD over this incident and they don't just go back to normal.

Fury is still in a prominent position at SHIELD after NY, which included using a bazooka on a friendly pilot and jet and defying the world council shadow screen people.
Coulson is fine.

Yeah I wasn't sure if that was just an invite to drink their sorrows away or if there was more to it.

Liked the Dollhouse reference at the end: "Did I fall asleep? For a little while."
