I was wondering about the Kings sched. Other than that game in Edmonton, it feels like they've been at home for 3 weeks. It's a great feeling knowing Calgary's kept pace with them throughout the roadtrip.

Non playoff teams play loose and dangerous this time of year. I would much rather look at amount of back to backs and road games etc.

Calgary and Winnipeg have 2 b2b,Minnesota have 4. That kind of thing.

Sharks and Kings both have way more away games remaining than all the teams above the line. I'm liking our chances more and more by the day.

How often does Marleau miss a wide open net tap in - they could have buried the Nuck's at that point. It is starting to look increasingly grim for the Sharks.

We could push the Sharks back 6 points by tomorrow night with equal games played. That gap is next to unheard of for a team to overcome with a month left. In all likelihood SJ would need more points as we'd take the tiebreaker, so that could be 7 points back. They're all but done.

Kings are our last threat at missing. And they have all those road games left where they've been abysmal. Even the recent road games they've won were against subpar teams - Edmonton, Columbus, Florida - and in favourable situations. That won't be the case down the stretch.

Fair enough, I just think they're due for a run. Based on nothing more than a hunch.

I suspect the tiebreaker may become a factor, fortunately we are in good shape against most other teams in that department.

Even with a run, they'd have to hope for two other teams to falter.

The pace right now is 96 points, but it's increased by 4 points over the last few weeks so it could be higher. Even to get to 9th place is a 95 point pace.

For 95 points even, San Jose would have to go 12-5-1 or so. That's 7 games over 0.500 and their final 18 games. They're only 6 games over for the year.

Buckle up & enjoy the ride!!

Right now Minnesota should be pacing at 108 points. 37 out of 44 points since they acquired Dubnyk. They will go 14-2-1 to finish the season.

The Wild looked dead and buried with 42 points in 43 games. They might end up winning the Central now. This is an epic run by a guy on his 5th team in a calendar year.

Yep, Backstrom and Keumper were AT& T...Dubnyk is Apple right after the return of Steve Jobs.

Start carving Dubnyk name on the Conn Smythe.
