That was pretty clutch from Gooch.
Caddied for a player who was paired with him in the CanTour event at GlenEagles a few years ago.

And just like that Hadwin is in the best position to win this. Just has to nail another iron within feet like he's done all week.

I caught that too. The guy totally stumbled while saying it too. He probably didn't even look at it before he said it and then figured he was reading "field" as soon as he got to the F, lol.

That's really tough for Hadwin, and so frustrating as a fan to watch that back nine. Just handed it away. This will still be huge for him for the rest of the season.

Three Canadians in the top 20? I could get used to this.

Yep, and I'm cynical and figured Hadwin had lost it and one of these other guys would become the new go to Canadian. Could be a great season.
This one still stings, though.

The Canadians are notoriously bad putters.
Nick Taylor is probably the best and he's usually around 60th in Stokes gained putting.
Until they figure that out, wins will be few and far between.

Huh. Hadwin is a pretty strong putter. He was right up thercin 16 and 17. Faded a bit last year but played really well in the playoffs and has a few top tens thus season. I think he’s at least 100 spots ahead of any other Canadian in world golf rankings. It was definitely his for the taking today though. Pretty impressive for the other Adam though. Definitely a life changing win for him.

Yeah, that took the sting out a bit. The genuine excitement with his family after was so cool. They all this beyond belief looks on their faces.

No he's not, and that's what has kept him from winning. He's worked on it a ton, I actually use one of his drills and it's helped me, but calling him a strong putter is flat out wrong.
Go look for yourself. The Canadians are generally terrible on and around the greens.

He was 15th in SG putting in 2017 and 11th in 2016. It has been the strongest part of his game in his 2 best seasons. This season is pretty young to get much from the stats, but he was very good on the greens all week minus maybe the back nine today.

Yeah, he didn't putt as well last year, and his results were down a notch because of it.

I think we can agree that better putting will equal more wins.
I'm less worried about the scrambling numbers, since he hits a lot of greens.

Svensson needs a good round tomorrow. 67 or 68 would be fantastic.
Ben Silverman is grouped with , should be fun for him.
