One of the species listed on Uhura's pad as she was trying to decipher the alien language was Cardassian. Notably, Bajoran wasn't listed, though it probably should have been. As an aside, it might have been cooler/more time oriented to have it be bajoran instead of Naussican... lol

#### I am excited based on those comments lol. I am not complaining about the light hearted episodes at all (WHO IS!) but a M'benga emotional banger seems like just the ticket.
I thought it was going to be the musical episode this week so I was pleasantly surprised.
I hope Babs (M'Benga) gets some consideration for an Emmy nomination. That was a strong performance in a great episode.
I dont know what constitutes an Emmy nod, but that was a heavy M'Benga centric episode and boy did Babs deliver the goods. That had it all.
And the funny thing too for me was that I also thought this was the Musical episode, and as the episode goes on I keep thinking to myself:
"This is getting a little Dark to spontaneously break into song and dance...like this is pretty heavy stuff...I dont know what I'm going to do if the Klingon soldiers on the battlefield turn into a Flashmob with bright costumes...."

I felt like the plot of this latest episode was a little too obvious and didn't find the climax surprising in the slightest, but it was very well done and I enjoyed how well it played out. The really masterful thing they did with the climax, even if it's a bit clichéd, was

... obscuring the final fight and letting your imagination fill the gaps. Did M'Benga kill Dak'rah in cold blood? Was it an accident ? Did Dak'rah kill himself? After all, suicide could be considered very honourable in Klingon culture; probably more honourable than the lying.
Did anyone else think the score during the climactic conversation sounded like it took a lot of inspiration from The Undiscovered Country? Listen to the strings right after
Sorry Bones, but M'Benga is the most badass doctor in all of Starfleet. I love how this episode immediately follows such a light hearted classic, just the writers and cast flexing that they can hit the heavy notes just as well as the funny ones. If this keeps up SNW might just end up being the cream of all Trek. The best series of all time usually comes down to either TNG or DS9, but even those shows kinda sucked in the first couple of seasons. It took a long time for them to find their footing and become bonafide classics. SNW though came out of the gate swinging though and in S2 already looks in peak form. I really hope Paramount can keep their #### together enough to let this series get the full 7 season Star Trek run it deserves

That was an amazing episode of television. I think it will be an enduring classic of trek. A killer look at ptsd, crazy action scenes, great klingons (the gold armor on the captain who fought best was gnarly).
M'Benga! This episode also lays some groundwork into why he's not long for the CMO position on the ship too.
Moment of the episode and just a gripping climax. Delivered with quiet ferocity. It was chilling.
I also agree with the choice to shoot that scene obscured. I think we all know what happened but I suppose we are left with the same level of certainty as everyone else... there's only one person who really knows.

This series is awesome.
Yeah, he's made some really questionable decisions through his time on the enterprise.
I would expect that they'll have it all blow up.

Great episode though I was confused and thought this was the musical episode for about 15 mins and was wondering how they would turn that with the subject matter. I'll have to re-watch.
Cant wait for lower decks. Allamaraine, third shap!
