This whole Alpine situation is incredibly funny and sad at the same time.

Sounds like Piastri got poached by McLaren and Alpine made this move to get out in front of it knowing full well he planned on leaving despite being under contract.
This seems to mirror the Palou incident pretty closely.
It has to mean Danny Ric is finished in F1, or at the very least with McLaren.

I guess Ricciardo finds his way back to Alpine (Renault) then potentially?

The Alpine car looks better this year than the McLaren. Not sure what it will look like next year but it could end up working in Ricciardo’s favour.

It makes sense. The speculation of Piastri not sticking around started right away.

Danny Ric may be best served to do a sabbatical like Alonso did for a couple of seasons. Just to reset. He's been on a steady decline since he started jumping around teams.
Mind you, there's a possibility that he could end up in Latifis seat as well. Not sure if Alpine and Ricciardo are a good fit anyways.

Exactly this. You get to tell someone to f off, without actually telling them to f off, and watch them slowly realize that they just got told to f off.

Why did everyone do Alpine dirty?
I've been asking that for a day now.
What the hell are they doing behind the scenes?

Ouch. Wonder where he ends up? Back to Alpine, or Williams maybe?
