I remember concerns over Ryan Getzlaf when he went from 75 points in 49 games as an 18 year old to 54 points in 51 games as a 19 year old.

If he's a Brendow Morrow type player, it's a big win.
How long do you think before we see him in a Flames uniform?

I kid, I kid.

What are some NHL comparables of 4th year skaters with similar stats/PPG/style?

Brandon Wheat Kings @bdnwheatkings
Congrats to @morganklimchuk, who had two assists vs @WHLHurricanes Wednesday to reach the 250 point plateau in his @TheWHL career #bdnmb

Here's a story on the Charlottetown Islanders with some comments about Mason McDonald.

Wow, like this comment:

"McDonald stood on his head in the first twenty minutes of play, as the Eagles threw 25 shots his way in the first period alone."

25 shots in 1 period and they won the game, wow.

I was at one game where he had made 14 saves before the game was 6 minutes old.

A great weekend for Klimchuk with 2 assists last night, and 2 goal/2 assists tonight in a 9-1 win over Swift Current.
And now he has 19 points over a 10 game point streak with 36 points in his last 23 games.

Roy had a goal and 2 assists tonight as well.

March 10 Roundup: Klimchuck with 1g 1 a in a 5-3 win over the Warriors. Roy had 1 assist. As we all know Bennett had a 4 point night. Carroll, Smith, and McDonald were not in action.

Not a Flames prospect but I was wondering if anybody had an update on Jason Fram?. Spokane Chiefs dman who was at Flames prospect camp last year. The thread on college free agents got me thinking about the guys at camp last year on try out.

Any other updates on players who were at the development camp would be also be welcome.

Seems to be doing well, and he's only 19. Wonder why there isn't more interest?

Sounds like a Diaz type?

Or a right-handed Giordano.

I don't think that's the case. I think he's Diaz-sized and the numbers are fudged.

Also seemed like an okay skater.

He wasn't AHL-eligible last year so maybe the Flames told him they'd sign him this off-season when they have more contract spots open?

Fram is likely to get a PTO/ATO with Adirondack when Spokane's season is done. From that PTO/ATO they will decide whether he warrants a pro contract.

IIRC Treliving was impressed with what Fram brought at development camp.

Looking at those Fram stats got me to click their team stats and wow Kailer Yamamoto. 15 years old 52 points in 61 games is impressive. Eligible for 2017 draft. A player for Oilers to keep an eye on I'd say.

Would they look at drafting him with a sixth or seventh round pick like they did with Austin Carroll to buy more development time before committing to a contract?

If he gets 3 more points in his next two games he will match his points totals over the same amount of games last season.
