This is what I have so far:

Life's a Happy Song (Muppets)
Do You Want to Build a Snowman (Frozen)
Dynamite (Taio Cruz)
O Fortuna (Salzburg Mozrteum Orchestra)
Waka Waka (Shakira)
Daft Punk (Pentatonix)
Jump Around (House of Pain)
I Like to Move It (Madagascar)

Any other suggestions? I've been rockin' these same songs for a few months and need some new tunes to keep things interesting. I have an RDIO subscription so can literally add anything in an instant.

I suggest " Who let the dogs out"

My kids are big on Imagination Movers, but I don't know if it qualifies under 'not annoying Dad'. It is kid's music, but it's not 'stick a rusty ice pick in my ear' kid's music.

Jump Up would be a good morning song.

So how about an update Sliver?

I thought about this thread last night as I was DJing a wedding.

35 kids.

35.

And a "candy bar" (table full of different candies) was set up in lieu of a wedding cake.

35.... kids.... high on sugar.... Glad I had some songs like these in mind to keep them entertained....

"Pop Goes the World" & "The Safety Dance" - Men Without Hats.

Happy Working Song - from "Enchanted"

There are probably a crap load of "Weird Al" songs that would be great too.

Tread Water by De La Soul. Not a single swear word and very kid friendly. They talk about their encounter with a squirrel, fish, monkey and fox.

Mix is going well, with much thanks owed to CP. It's at 1 hour and 42 minutes and still growing. Here is what I have so far:

Maggie may - Rod Stewart
Life's a happy song - Muppets
Do you want to build a snowman? - Frozen
Dynamite - Taio Cruz
O Fortuna - Salzburg Orchestra
Jump around - House of Pain
I like to move it - Madagascar
La Chanson Du Herisson - some French song (it's really good)
Happy - Pharrell
Home - Edward Sharpe
Mickey - Toni Basil
Everything is awesome - Lego
Roar - Kary Perry
Sunshine - Matisyahu
Can't hold us - Macklemore
I'm gonna be (500 miles) - Proclaimers
The lion sleeps tonight - Tokens
Walking on Sunshine - Katrina & the waves
Brown Eyed Girl - Van Morrison
Happy Together - Turtles
Son of a Gun - Nirvana
Timber - Pitbull
Eye of the tiger - Survivor
The travelling song - madagascar
Chasing the sun
Walkin' on sun - Smash Mouth
Livin' La vida loca - Ricky Martin
Daft Punk - Pentatonix

It's a great, fun way to get the family moving in the morning and the kids love it.

I remember hearing the B52s and it reminded how upbeat a lot of their songs were, and REM's "Shiny Happy People".

Some other song I have heard on the radio, something about playing a ninja. That's probably the title.

Which version of "La Chanson Du Herisson" - there seem to be a few? Always looking for good French music for the kids.

Karaoké Playback Français - Thèmes Célèbres Des Comédies Musicales Françaises Vol. 3

There may be better versions, but this one seems pretty good.
