He should get 2 points, his stick started the play and ended it, haha.

Connor would never have given his stick up in the first place. Crosby is still the best player in the league.

Sid is great. As for best player in the game, I think it's arguably a toss-up between him and MacKinnon these days.

McLotteryball is the most skilled. But he sucks, so he can go f*** himself.

Mitch Marner had a good one of those a few years back. Pretty cool.

Connor would have gone to the bench and stayed.

Signed a 12-year extension at 25 years old for the exact same dollar amount as his previous contract. Happily leaving millions on the table while committing his entire career to one organization. Has never once held out, asked to be traded, tried to renegotiate, got drunk and punched out a cabbie, etc etc.

33 years old with an 8.7M cap hit for 4 more seasons, and is still considered an absolute steal at that price. Mind-blowing, to say the least.

Unbelievable career. Always like to tune into the odd Pens game just because he is such a great player to watch.

Three players that I still marvel at these days:

Crosby
Ovechkin
Patrick Kane

Generational players that are still producing at an elite level.

I'm amazed there's another hockey broadcast with early 00s HD camera quality other than SN.

We've become so complacent in how good Crosby actually is, and for how long he's been, that he's not really mentioned much these days compared to McDavid, which is obviously due to Sportsnet/Canadian media. Don't even hear about McKninnon as much as we should, but you damn sure we'll hear about Matthews.

This guy has finished over a point per game every single season of his entire career so far. From 18 years old to 33 years old. Even this season he's sitting at 49 points in 42 games.

The sheer number of players in the entire history of the NHL that have never had a point per game season, and Crosby's never NOT had one.

Fact check but pretty sure not even Gretzky went 1.0 average or better for 15 straight seasons.

If Crosby doesn't do it this year I blame you and myself.

Gretzky went 1.0 average or better for 19 straight seasons. Only dipped below in his 20th, and final, NHL year.

He posted 120-plus points (at least a 1.64 rate) in 13 consecutive seasons.

Gretzky did it for 19, 20 if you count WHA.

PPG in every season except his first (8 games) and his last.

Closest he came to under a PPG during that streak was 48 points in 48 games during lockout #1.

Yeah, I have Crosby and MacKinnon ahead of McDavid as well.

McDavid might be the best offensive player, but overall I still take one of the Cole Harbour boys
