Flames Michael Frolik revamped his off-season training regimen this summer

{didn't see posted so apologies if it is a Fata; can remove if so}

Interested to see where Frolo fits - could be a great bottom 6 guy.

Couple of excerpts:

Quote:
The Fittest Flame didn't get that way by letting complacency creep into his off-season training.

He earned that title thanks to years of hard work and by discovering new ways to fine-tune his now 30-year-old chassis.

After switching things up and working out with a new trainer for the first time in "forever," Michael Frolik is entering his fourth year as a Flame on the heels of one of his most productive summers yet.

"I always used to go to Montreal to work out about a month before camp starts," said Frolik, who unseated perennial Fittest Flame Mark Giordano at training camp last season.
***
Quote:
"Voda, a 36-year-old Slovak native, spent the past eight years as the conditioning coach with KHL and Czech Elite League teams, and is beginning to gain notoriety as one of the preeminent fitness gurus in Europe.

Frolik discovered him through his connection with Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl, who he spent the past month-and-a-half training with on Czech soil.

Draisaitl's father, Peter, worked with Voda in 2013 when he was the head coach of Hradec Kralove in the Czech League, and has recommended his services ever since.

No surprise he's eyeing a bounce back season in a contract year. Have to imagine this may be his last season as a Flame.

2 years left for Frolik - so not quite a contract year yet.

I'm dismayed that hes working out with an Oiler and I'm hoping this works out really well for Frolik and somehow terribly for Draisaitl.

Maybe that Voda guy is responsible for Draisaitl's improved skating. If that's the case probably worth a bit of Oilers stink.

Looking forward to watching him bounce back and score some nice short handed goals this year.

I sure like him as a player ......steady player that isn't flashy and gets the job done.

If Voda can ever get the Oiler stink off of Drasaitl, he will be worthy of having his name changed to Yoda.

Frolik, Ryan, Bennett, and Jankowski are very important bottom 6 forwards for the team this year. If the top 6 is as good as they look on paper these 4 forwards can really make our forward depth tough to beat

I think many Flames fans were doing that in the last two months of last season, it may have been the only way to forget the mind-numbing effects of GG's system.

Fittest Flame? Wow, good for Frolik. After last season, I felt that he needed to step up his game - great to read about him being extra determined and proactive in the offseason.

There seems to be some gif material in here for Frolik.
