Default October 19, just two games.

The Friday OOT has a pair of games, one eastern and one western, prior to the Flames.

Florida had a 4-1 lead after the first, it's now 4-4 in the 2nd. Yikes.

Someone grab hold of Cali before he starts throwing things in rage. Or tossing a dangerous amount of spirits back.

Huberdeau scored late in the 2nd to give the Panthers the lead again. Last shot wins.

Too late.

The Panthers can score goals, no doubt, but man, they suck at defense this year. I figured Boughner would have this figured out to start the year, but nope. Luongo being injured again hurts as well. They really need a long term solution in net.

GODDAM IT!!!

Caps tie it with the empty net. Panthers cannot buy a win. I'm almost certain that this will end up as a shoot out loss now.

Barkov is absolutely lethal in the shootout. I have almost never seen him miss.

Trocheck buries one too to extend the shootout! Such an underrated player.

Huberdeau!!! Shootout win for the first win of the season!!!!

As Goldie Goldstein says so well, "Let's go home baby!"

Wow, what a game in Washington! Both starting goalies were yanked from their nets. Holtby didn't make it into the 2nd period and then Reimer gets pulled midway through the 2nd. Holtby had only 7 saves on 11 shots, Reimer had 16 saves on 20 shots. Trochek, Huberdeau, and Eller all had 3 points.

The Wild-Stars game was just as entertaining. There were obviously less goals, but the goaltending dual was impressive. There was no scoring until the 3rd period and that was after a crazy 2nd period where the shots were 24-13 in favour of the Stars. The shots in the final period were 15-4 for Minnesota. Spezza scored early in the period and then the Wild came back to win. Dubnyk's voodoo magic was just a bit better than Bishop.
