25 to 30 goal scorer.
Above average in faceoffs.
Receives Selke votes
Has leadership qualities

But yeah, tons of gaping holes in his game.

You can argue Flyers bias then. Couturier had a breakout season last year but Monahan at two years younger has outscored him over his short career by 15 points despite playing 100 less games. Much more consistent player.

LOL. I'm still bitter about how much praise Hall / MacKinnon got while nobody talked about Giroux's 102 pt season. Giroux is also a more complete player and has been more consistent throughout his career, but THN continues to push Hall/MacKinnon as if they are gods.

Couturier is there due to recency bias, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him prove himself over the years. Voracek is a snub if you're looking at consistent point production.

Giroux has Voracek.

Hall has...?

MacKinnon has...?

Giroux mostly played with Couturier / Konecny and elevated them to career highs. You know who else makes their teammates better -- elite guys like Crosby, Malkin, and Tavares. /r

I don't think it's a slight to Giroux as much as the fact that people simply love shiny new things. For example I would not be surprised if a guy like Hellebuyck isn't even on the list next season.

Hall is pretty much on his own but MacKinnon??

Rantanen and Landeskog. Pretty much one of the top lines in the league

97 goals 243 pts

For Comparison:

The Vegas top line 92 goals 213 pts

Monahan Gaudreau Ferland - 76 goals 189 pts

Giroux / Courtier / Koepecky 89 goals 235 pts or even Giroux / Coutier/ Voracek that played a little less together : 85 goals 263 pts

Giroux is criminally underrated. He's second in the NHL in points since 2011, after Crosby.

And leads his team nose first. I am a huge fan and love the way he plays.
