Awesome. For some reason, as soon as I saw this thread I thought of that show. I was pretty young when it was out and I can’t really remember it. I do know that I thought it was awesome, but I was probably around 5 years old so it might have been terrible.

Friday Night Lights - amazing show and could easily come back with same cast as coaches, or other people of interest in Dillon and new kids on the team.
Pitch - I feel this was cancelled too early, and a little ahead of it's time (2016) in the women's movement. Plus I really like Kylie Bunbury as an actress. Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Mark Consuelos were both excellent in it too. Only one season but imdb episode ratings are from 7.8 - 8.3 for every episode.
I thought Pitch was good, I thought it was well acted. But I don't know where it would have gone after the first season.
I mean its not like they can send her to AAA ball.
Friday Night Lights, I'd probably leave alone. I loved that series, but the last year with the angst of the Super Team concept was a bit silly. Also the new team mates didn't have the charm of the original team from the first 3 years.

I've never understood the love for Firefly outside of Gina Torres. Nathan Fillion is so overrated. And every new season of that stupid cop show he's on is another year of waiting for his co-star Melissa O'Neil to be free to FINISH DARK MATTER, FFS!!!! Even jusrt a movie to wrap it up. Such a good show left hanging in the worst way.

Firefly paved the way for this being a possibility.
Also, it was an ensemble cast. If Fillion isn't your cup of tea, the other 80% of the cast adds a lot of flavor. With the existence of Serenity, it kind of through a full season of Firefly into two hours, so a reboot wouldn't be quite as easy.

I always wondered what happened to Lisa Lougheed, she was on a good career trajectory. She was nominated for 3 Juno's and won a few awards and a string of hits, the she pretty much vanished in the 90's. I do remember marking out when they played Run with Us in Hobo with a Shotgun.

Rome had unfortunate timing, just before the streaming boom. If it came out three or four years later it would have caught the prestige streaming wave and gotten multiple seasons of lavish productions.

On the other hand, Rome being developed when it did forced David Milch's hand to set his show in Deadwood.
Rome's sacrifice shall never be forgotten.
