I think Bianca can certainly sympathize with Emma, it's tough to get any consistency with you're always battling injuries. Tennis twitter is not kind to Emma either, although a lot of the hate is likely from those betting on tennis.

Speaking of the Transylvania Open, Genie received a main draw wild card. If she plays as well as she did against Belinda Bencic, she should have a good chance to make a run.

Tennis twitter is not kind to Emma because she was shoved in everyone's face for a year despite never doing anything or beating anyone of significance outside the US Open. If she had lost to Sakkari in the SF she'd have way less money but no major criticism.

Yeah, but that's not her fault, it's the overzealous British media that is to blame. They do the same thing with the English soccer team for every major tournament.

Oh Denis, serving for the opening set at 5-3 and playing great tennis, coughs up a couple of double faults and Coric breaks back.

Edit: Okay, Denis breaks straight back to take the opening set 6-4

Shapo breaks and is serving at 3-1 in set 2. Really playing sublime tennis at the moment.

Edit: Consolidates with a hold to love.

All right, Denis wins in straight sets 6-4 6-3. Kyrgios pulled out of his match with Fritz with a knee injury, thus it will be Shapo vs. Fritz in one of the semi-finals.

Vasek and JJ Wolf are going to a third set in France, JJ won the opening set 6-4, Vasek took set 2 6-3

Edit: Vasek just a bit better than the Wolf today as he takes set 3 in a tie-break. Some amazing shots by Vasek late to pull out the win.

Tough one for Denis, he played a very good match but Taylor Fritz eked out a 6-3 6-7 6-3 win. That's back-to-back weeks of good results, though.

Brutal Medvedev pulls out after the 2nd set tie breaker against Djokovic. Match was just about to go into a 3rd set weird ending to a great match

All-American final of Tiafoe vs. Fritz for the title in Tokyo, by the way.

That sets up a Djokovic - Tsitsipas final. I guess the key stat going into this match is Greek Yogurt is 0-8 in ATP 500 finals.

They named him Rafael, so this confirms a Rafael Nadal will win the French Open until 2050

Make it 0-9 for Tsitsipas - Novak wins 6-3 6-4 and has officially qualified for the ATP Finals. Fritz won the title in Tokyo over Frances and has usurped Felix in the race to Turin (by 25 points).

Vasek looked like he was battling a bad back today and lost in the challenger final in France 6-4 6-3. He was bending over repeatedly and trying to stretch it out. His serve wasn't very effective either today. Still, a very good week as he adds some valuable ranking points.

Iga is indeed the female Rafa, her weakest surface is indoor hard.
