TSN 5 just showed the 2017 AO final and is about to show the 2018 final.
I hope TSN deleted the footage of Wimbledon 2019 so they can't show it when Djokovic retires.
that 2018 final was a bit weird. Roger was ok, had some bad service games and wasted BPs (of course) but already by that point had lost the murder backhand that made him untouchable for the first half of 2017. the result was more like Cilic alternating between junk and god mode for each set.
Good news is that Vasek is into the quarter-finals of the ATP event in Tel Aviv. Bad news is that he'll likely face his friend Novak Djokovic in the quarter-finals.
Stumbled across this video on YouTube, where tennis channel Ra Ked the top 100 players of all time combining men and women. It's 10 years old so already but I learned alot about players I heard about but didn't see play like Yannick Noah or Muster.
He's looked very good in his first two matches. Hopefully things are back on track for him. Still using a prototype Yonex racquet that could be the new VCORE.
Vasek almost pulled off a remarkable comeback from 5-1 down in the opening set tie-break (got back to 5-5), but then Novak wins the next two points. Really good level of tennis from Pops, but Novak is Novak.
Vasek had a chance to break in the opening game of set 2, couldn't cash in, then Novak breaks the very next game and that's likely game, set, and match.
Edit: Vasek breaks back to get back on serve. Nice.

Final set scores of 7-6 6-3 doesn't do justice to how well Vasek played today. Really nice embrace at the net between Novak and Vasek, they really are very good friends.
