PSG cap off their second loss in as many Ligue 1 games with a nice fight on the pitch ... 3 red cards for PSG including Neymar, 2 for Marseille.
long may their demise last ... couldn't happen to a nicer team.

best team in Europe meets relegation fodder. Didn't expect 8 (and counting) though ...
have to say, it's impressive how they are playing today given the short break they've had. Hardly missing a beat, also without Thiago and Alaba. Scary, scary team.

Should make a special Bayern Clause where if they don't win each match by at least 5 goals they are docked a point. Would spice up what will surely be an incredibly boring year.

The joy of being a Hamburg supporter has returned to my life...
On Monday, Hamburg got thrashed 4-1 by 3rd division side Dynamo Dresden in the first round of the DFB Pokal. Following this embarrassing result, a Hamburg player jumped into the crowd to confront a Dresden supporter. The player will likely be fined and/or suspended, but also is now required to quarantine because he left the safety of the field.

Today, HSV opened up their Bundesliga 2 regular season at home against Fortuna Düsseldorf. They got out to a 2-0 lead, but Hamburg usually makes the final 5-10 minutes of any match an adventure. After Fortuna went down to 10 men after a player picked up a second yellow, the visitors were still able to score inside of two minutes, and very nearly tied the game a few moments later.
Hamburg held on to win 2-1, and they now top the Bundesliga 2 table. You really can’t make this stuff up...

haha, so as part of a transfer to Juventus, Suarez had to take an Italian Citizenship exam, as Juve already had too many imports -- Suarez would have to nationalize, and acquire a passport.
WELLL... LOL, apparently he cheated the exam.

While it is Suarez, a few things.
First, Italian Soccer and the owners behind it are as corrupt as the government. Secondly, therefore,, I am sure it’s standard procedure to give incoming players like this the answers.
Third, it is very likely that by giving out the answers, it allows Juve to get out of the transfer if they get cold feet, as they’ll leak through some web of sources, the “ cheating” to the press who will do the clubs dirty work to have the transfer fail.
Finally, could you imagine the social uproar here if pro sports players (or any inbound workers needing to “nationalize” here in North America) had to take a citizenship and language test similar to this?

Suarez to join Atletico for free - https://www.theguardian.com/football...with-barcelona
The article mentions it but a front partnership of Luis Suarez and Diego Costa managed by Simeone is indeed terrifying.

Hoffenheim beating Bayern 4-1 is the most surprising result you'll see in a while. Crazy stuff.

Bayern looked dead tired after their Super Cup match on Thursday. Good for Hoffenheim though, they were full marks for victory
This furthers my theory that Bayern’s 8-0 win over Schalke had more to do with Schalke being a possible relegation side than Bayern going to demolish the Bundesliga

Damn. How did we draw Ajax?
Well at least the Manchester clubs have purchased their best players recently.
