4-0 final.
And like last Saturday, and rare to all the matches they've played this season, no yellow cards against Forge.
So a draw in Hamilton should clinch the second half Wed, though I assume the Cavs will play a lot of bench players. Next Saturdays game then may or may not mean anything and avoiding injury, and bookings for the starters will be job #1.

Always good to see Forge choke on York's 9. Cavalry just needs one win to clinch the fall title.

FWIW the forecast looks good (for October) on Saturday. Which is nice.

There is now a half and half scarf for the Finals available for pre-order at https://shop.canpl.ca/cpl-finals-201...rf%20Pre-Order
I assume they will be for sale at Spruce Meadows, too. Also, I think there might be Finals scarves that feature each club individually.

That should be burnt and sent to Edmonton with all the other trash.

The scarves should read Cavs (away) & Cavs (home), if we take 3 points from our two remaining games.
Lets get THOSE made. Forge can get stuffed.

I will probably pick up one of those. 20 years from now it could be a cool thing to have around. Also, my conversation with the head of the Forge supporters regarding the scarf...
Me - "Shut up and take my money?"
Him - "Waiting for the Forge champions scarf"
Me - "Think a Forge SAY NO TO RACISM scarf will be out before a champions one."

I'm just curious what makes you think Forge ever intend to say no to racism?

Half and half scarves are for tourists or testimonials.
Why would I want anything polyester with Forge branding on it?
Can’t imagine there are too many neutrals at either leg that this would appeal to, and that includes the Forge-friendly CPL executive that will be in attendance.

Seriously, grating (&rehashing) myself more about this considering they play tonight. If Cavs are Fall Champions, this Finals is a god damn ####ing farce.

They are, but at the same time, this is one of the rules we knew about before the season started. It is what it is.
And I doubt the Cavs are going to be too sad to sell 4-5,000 more tickets to an extra game.

For the Southerns' sure. For the team & fans, if the Cav's lose the final legs, it'll be a disaster.

The Windows 10 Xbox game capture feature worked great for the CNMT last night, so I will again be self-PVRing this so I don't have to wait 2 days to watch.
I would declare OneSoccer "perfectly adequate" if I had a way to watch the games later the same night without having to do it myself.

They told me they were hoping to have the replays up right after each game
"soon."
That was a month ago, though.

The other issue I need to have fixed before declaring it "adequate" would be the constant issues with the audio/video sync on Chromecast. Yesterday's game was about 15 seconds off when I first tried it - I was watching the opening kickoff and the announcers got excited about a cross coming in. I restarted and then it was off by 2 seconds, just enough that the announcers got pumped about Davies or David getting open before the through ball was played. With how play was going I didn't want to stop my stream in the middle of play to restart so I waited for halftime and got it to under a second, just enough that the voices weren't synchronized with the lip movements during the halftime interview. Even that isn't really acceptable - as Flames fans all know it's incredibly annoying to have any sync issues.
Seems to be a common issue looking at the Reddit game threads for the CPL games.

^ They've said "soon" a couple of times when I have asked about it on Twitter. I sincerely think that they're working on it and I am trying to be patient. The 5-9 window is typically terrible for me for sports watching, which is why PVR and reasonably-timed on-demand options are so important.
I tried the xBox game bar thingy and unfortunately my machine is too old to support screen recording. So I'll try tonight with ShareX (open source screen recording software) and see how that turns out. I did a few shorter tests and it was passable, but I fully expect that I'll go to stop the recording after 7 sometime only to see that it froze in the 93rd minute and spoils the score for me. But I'll give it a shot tonight.
